Dr. Michael Zürcher

Michael Zürcher is a passionate General Manager with over 15 years of pharma experience. He provides market entry services and launch solutions for innovative therapies in Switzerland. 

Michael set up the Swiss affiliate at Portola Pharmaceuticals from scratch. Previously, he was the European Launch Leader for an orphan disease asset at Celgene and built and managed business units at Celgene and AbbVie. Michael held various management positions at Roche and MSD and spent several years at The Boston Consulting Group.

Recently, Michael founded Swizzard Pharma AG. Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, the company supports biotech and pharma companies in maximizing the value of medical breakthroughs in Switzerland. Through a flexible one-stop-shop approach, he ensures fast and lean settle-in services and proposes smart and effective market preparation and commercialization solutions. With a strong track record of Regulatory, Medical, Market Access and Commercial achievements and deep Swiss roots, Michael provides speedy access to an extensive network of talents, government officials, partner service providers, and Swiss key opinion leaders.

Michael holds a Master of Science in medical microbiology and a PhD in immunology. He completed training programs at the HSG, INSEAD and the LBS and holds an Executive MBA in General Management from the University of Zurich.
