Markus is a technology & business strategy consultant and Executive coach. He has a broad technical and business background, with profound experience in healthtech, diagnostics, and digital health, production, quality, the electronics manufacturing supply chain, laboratory and analytical equipment. He was General manager, strategy advisor, and technology consultant. His interest is in advancing organizations, initiate and foster change with a positive impact on individuals and teams.

He is Founder and was General Manager of midge medical GmbH, driving the ultra-fast development of the company during the Corona pandemic, to create a digital diagnostic solution for SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics, with the goal to make available reliable remote nucleic acid diagnostics. The development of the certified product took only 26 months from first concept to CE certification, including ISO13485 certification of the QMS. www.midgemedical.com

He is partner and Head of Hardware at meisterwerk ventures GmbH. meisterwerk ventures creates ventures by combining disruptive thinking with unique engineering solutions. The technical focus is on medical technology and cloud technology (IT).

In 2013, he co-founded Multiphoton Optics, a startup commercializing nanoscale 3D printing technology. He held assignments as Head of R&D, Chief Technologist and Technology Scout at companies including AT&S, Microsystems Technologies AG, Dyconex, Biolab, Motorola and IBM. Markus has a PhD in Chemistry, an engineering degree in Chemical Technology (FH), holds over 30 patents and has published more than 30 technical papers.  He is active as business angel and serves as Advisory board member for Ospin GmbH. He is a seasoned reviewer and Innovation Expert for the European commission and supervisory board member of Fraunhofer institutes and NTCW GmbH, Weiz, Austria. He was awarded two prizes for technical innovation and entrepreneurship.
